The Calming Mind is excited to introduce you to our newest team member, Jenn Lodico Ward!
Jenn comes to The Calming Mind with a wealth of knowledge and experience that will continue to add to the services that we provide our community.
Jenn is a skilled clinician who has a passion working with those struggling with the effects of trauma. She has received extensive trauma training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and continues to expand her knowledge base in the topic. So much of trauma treatment comes from building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, as that relationship is the start to the healing. Jenn's calm demeanor helps to enhance the therapeutic alliance to create the space for healing.
Jenn also loves working with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and feelings of being lost. Jenn's background in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Theory, and Solution Focused Therapy allows for her to effectively and ethically treat an array of mental health struggles.
As a former athlete and coach, Jenn enjoys working with athletes who are battling the pressures that life brings them. Lately, there has been more attention on athlete mental health and The Calming Mind has been focused on helping this group heal over the past several years. Jenn brings her personal and professional experience together to help serve this underserved and needing population.
In-person therapy sessions take place in our Downtown Bethesda Maryland office, only two blocks from the Bethesda Metro.
Virtual sessions can be accommodated for those located in the state of Maryland and would prefer to meet virtually or are unable to make it into our Bethesda office.
